Installing Aardwolf plugins for MUSHclient

Shows how to install plugins for the MUD client program “MUSHclient”, to help play the game Aardwolf. More details about MUSHclient are at: www.mushclient.com Details about Aardwolf are at: www.aardwolf.com The file with the plugins in it can be downloaded from: www.mushclient.com Note re adding plugins: In the video I add the plugins one by one as adding all at once didn’t work for me. This turns out to be a bug in the client. It is fixed in version 4.45. Meanwhile, you can speed up the process by first adding the first four plugins (shift-click to select four of them) and clicking OK. Then as a separate operation add the remaining seven. That should get all 11 plugins loaded more quickly than the way I did it.

    Are you on Aardwolf? This posting is about a year old. On the Aardwolf site is a link to the “Aardwolf client” which has all sorts of recent enhancements. Try downloading that and installing it. If you have problems do a chat on the “tech” channel to ask for assistance.

    The Aardwolf client is still MUSHclient (so it looks similar to the video) but has quite a few UI enhancements.

    @UndefinedNerd Oh! It seems that these plugins work only with Aardwolf MUD, its all good now :)

    Only thing that appeared for me is the Help window, i did everything right so what gives ? :S

    checkplugin.lua is supplied as part of recent release of MUSHclient. Try upgrading to a more recent version by visiting the MUSHclient home page.

    @Jainh872 I meant that the size of the plugin still covered some text even when I draged it away

    @macmastermike124 The more recent map plugins can be dragged around by clicking on the top line. In fact most of the plugins are draggable I think.

    how do you get that much space on your screen, when i did this I had the map covering text

    @Jainh872 Hey thanks for the quick reply. Are you programmer of the client or just an avid user? Great work either way. It’s a good client, and aardwolf seems like it will be a great game to try out. Wouldn’t have heard of either without this video.

    @beardmusiclife Go to the forum mentioned and search for “Aardwolf stats detection plugin”.

    You need that plugin to detect (and omit) the stats and feed that to the stats plugin.

    Everything seems to work beautifully besides the stats monitor. It just feeds me some hp/mp spam after each tick or command.
